Complex conveyor protective KKZ-1 is intended to prevent failure of the crushing equipment, due to the ingress of rudozasoryayuschih not crushable metal bodies.

System of conveyor protection KKZ-1M is designed for detection of non-crushing metal fragments such as drill bits and rods, lining fragments, reinforcing rods, etc .Ores with magnetic and electrically conductive properties are feasible for detection also. We guarantee the detection of metal fragments in a wide range of sizes, different form factors, from magnetic and non-magnetic alloys, including high-manganese steels and non-ferrous alloys. The system is installed on conveyor belts with rubber-fabric tape.

 All harmful materials must be removed as far as possible at an early stage in treatment in order to reduce the number of plant downtime due to damages to the conveyor belt and crushing equipment. Otherwise, the plant can incur significant losses.

Detection is based on the principle of electromagnetic pulse sensing. The conveyor pile is analyzed by electromagnetic waves penetrating the material surface, which ensures reliable determination of the metal fragment, regardless of its position on the belt.

The system is a completely digital, thus ensuring the stability of indication. KKZ-1M is a device with a high degree of automation. The required operating settings are set during tuning and stored in the device memory. All parameters and operating results are accessible to the operator through the local computer network of the plant. Also it is enabled for offline operation without connection to the plant network. KKZ-1M enables to make program changes to the tuning mode in order to search for the smallest metal fragments, or, on the contrary, to exclude responses for small fragments that are not harmful to the plant equipment.

If a metal fragment is detected, the system activates light signal indicating location of the fragment, then the belt conveyor is stopped for manual removal or a guard magnet is activated for automatic removal. KKZ-1M reduces the down time of the conveyor and the labor consumption of removing the detected metal fragment by accurately indicating its location in the conveyor embankment with a special light indicator.

To protect our station from oversized lumps of ore we also offer protective device against oversize material, named ZUN-1, which enables to avoid emergencies.

Installation of KKZ-1M does not involve construction and installation works, modification of conveyor structures, or other additional measures. The device is installed on a standard conveyor belt with a supplied kit.

System of conveyor protection KKZ-1M includes: receiving and transmitting units, microprocessor control unit and support frame. The transmitter unit is installed above the conveyor belt. The receiving unit is installed under the conveyor belt.

The complex consists of the following, blocks:
-generator unit;
-transmitting unit;
-receiving unit;
-the control unit, the light and sound alarm.

Principle of the device is a logical time probing ore flow in two different, different in several times frequencies of the electromagnetic field. A probe signal generator is formed by a special shape, arranged in the generator unit, and fed to a transmitting unit, which is a rectangular elongated flat inductor located above (or below) the conveyor in a plane parallel to the flow of the ore.

1. The metal detector is installed directly in front of the crushing equipment, when a metal blockage is detected, it stops the conveyor, the metal blockage is manually sampled. To reduce the frequent stops of the conveyor, it is necessary to carry out a technological re-equipment in all areas of the transfer, to install magnetic chelate separators with maximum maximum efficiency from the ore, metal clogs with ferromagnetic properties, before moving to the metal detection zone.
2. The metal detector controls the operation of the electromagnetic iron separator, then the technological line provides for the installation of another metal detector, which will stop the conveyor when a metal blockage that does not have ferromagnetic properties passes through the electromagnetic iron separator. In this case, the selection is done manually.

3. The metal detector is installed to stop the conveyor at the point of manual sampling of the metal detector.

4. On steeply inclined conveyors or long conveyors, when a metal blockage is detected, the metal detector issues a command to stop the power supply and marks the location of the blockage, after a set time it stops the conveyor for manual sampling. During this time, if there are other metal blockages on the conveyor, their position will also be marked.

5. The metal detector controls any actuator that cuts off or redirects the metal blockage with a portion of the ore for further manual disassembly without stopping the main conveyor. Design solutions are required for implementation.
